using the
parachute and other special toys that were available this month such as
a bowling alley, a Brio train table, and our new musical "boomwhackers".
To go
along with our transportation theme, the children enjoyed singing
"I've Been Working on the Railroad", "Wheels on the Bus", and
"Bumping Up & Down in my Little Red Wagon". On pajama day we had
fun with "Wake up, you Sleepyheads!”
During
"senses" week we sang songs about our 5 senses, and also enjoyed using
hand and body motions to sing "Spread the Good News" and "The
Father Loves Me." The children love dancing to the "Twisty
Freeze" and relying on clues and their memory as they sing "I've
Got a Whatchamacallit in the Box".

"I have a new baby cousin, but you can't go near him because he still
has his 'invilical' cord."
Child:
"We need a recipe for this puzzle!"

child, who ended up last in line: "Hey, I'm the leader of
the back!"
Miss
Meg, while walking in to school: "I wonder where the sun
is."
Child: "I think it's sleeping!"
Miss
Cathy: "Do you like strawberries?"
Child: "Yes, but they're all gone now."
Miss Cathy: "Maybe there will be more when it's
spring".
Child: "But they don't grow outside, we get them
from the store!"
Child:
“Is that a picture of your Grandmother?”
Miss Cathy: “Yes, it is. Why did you think she might be my
Grandmother?”
Child: “Because she’s old and you’re not!” |
