From The Director

I am thrilled to report that our recent fundraiser was an enormous success, with the school netting just under $1200.  Our warmest thanks go to all of you who were able to participate.  We look forward to ordering a new sign and to shopping for some great new equipment.  We also appreciate your generous response to Operation Christmas Child.  I am also pleased to report that a brand-new Kohler toilet was donated to the school by the Dickie family.  THANK YOU!  We hope to have the new unit installed during the Christmas break.

We have several small items such as hair clips and barrettes, as well as a red sweatshirt that seem to have lost their owners.  Please check out the “lost and found” box when you are here for Thanksgiving!

Congratulations to the Gates family (Matthew, P-2) on the birth of Anthony, who weighed in at 9 pounds 6 ounces!

We’re looking for four volunteers (one per class) to bake birthday sheet cakes for our Christmas Parties for Jesus.  If you are interested, please give me a call (533-5854).

The Christmas season quickly approaches, and we are concerned that giving individual staff Christmas gifts may become burdensome because we have so many teachers.  We are offering parents again this year the option of giving a gift to the school that may be enjoyed by all the children and staff in lieu of individual staff gifts.  A small Christmas tree hung with paper “wish list” ornaments will be on display during our Thanksgiving celebration. I have attached an excellent article about coping with the holidays.  Some of you may have read it before, but it is so good that I want our new families to see it too.

May the Lord bless you and keep you and give you peace.

Miss Cathy
