October 2005 Newsletter Addendum

During the week beginning November 14, we will be talking about our families.  We would love to create a “wall of families” as part of this unit.  Please help us by sending one photo of your family to school by November 10.  If your photo shows extended family members, so much the better!  We all know that children like to touch as well as look.  The photo you send may come back to you with a few fingerprints, so please don’t send one that you really treasure.

The primary students should have received a registration form in their school bags on October 18 or 19.   If you wish to register for next year, please complete the form and return it along with the fee of $50 to hold a space for your child.  If you need additional forms for siblings, please let us know.  The registration fee is not refundable.  Please remember that registration opens for new families this week, and spaces are filling up quickly.   

An invoice for the first of ten tuition payments will be sent to you in early March.  That payment will secure your child’s space and will be due by March 30.  A packet of enrollment papers will be sent to you in May.

The parent volunteer program is underway, and we appreciate your prompt response to the questionnaire.  Lisa Pantaleo is chairing the program, but we’re sure she would appreciate the help of a co-chair.  If you are willing to serve in this capacity, please give Lisa a call at 533-4112.

All drugs containing phenylpropanolamine are being recalled by their manufacturers.  Many adult and child cold medications contain this ingredient, including Dimetapp and Triaminic.  Call the 800 number on the container for further information.  You can also visit the Food and Drug Administration’s web page http://www.fda.gov/cder/drug/infopage/ppa/.

There are still a few spaces left in our Friday morning expanded class, and several in our Wacky Wednesday afternoon class.  Please call if you are interested in these enrichment classes for your child.

The nursery at Medway Village Church is seeking items for the infant and toddler nursery.  If you have any kind of infant seats (like a bouncy seat or exersaucer), a changing table, or a pack & play in good condition and you would like to find a new home for them, please let us know!
